The dreamer

There is no sight,
I have not seen,
Nor a wondrous place,
I have not been.

No place has been,
Too far away,
No cavern to deep,
For me to play.

The mountains I have climbed,
Are real,
I swam the lakes,
Had dates with eels.

The caviar,
That I have eaten,
The dragons bold,
That I have beaten.

I talked in many languages,
Conversed with Pygmies and with Queens,
I’ve learned to send some smoke signals,
And talked to other beings.

There are no boundaries,
I have found,
My dreams you see,
Are profound,

But as I wake,
I am just me,
A dreamer,
For the world to see.
